London is home to some iconic and up-and-coming day festivals. Summer 2018 is set to be bigger and better than ever. London is welcoming new kids on the block ‘All Points East’ as well as saying hola to festival favourites such as Wireless, Lovebox and SW4. †As with pretty much everything in London, there’s such a huge range of variety and choice, which reflects the diverse city we all call home. All Points East Victoria Park, E3 5TB From 25 May to 27 May. Tickets from £59 Fresh for 2018, All Points East is a ten day festival, held in Victoria Park, E3. APE is showcasing a real range of artists, from The XX, Catfish and The Bottlemen, Lorde and Beck, the full line up is yet to be announced, so keep an eye on the website.
We Are FSTVL Damyns Hall Aerodrome, RM14 2TN From 25 May to 27th May Tickets from £59 This one’s an award winner. Namely winner of ‘Best New Festival’, ‘Best Medium Sized Festival’ and ‘Best International Festival’. 2017 was a sell out success and these guys are predicting the same for 2018. Around 225 artists will perform on over 20 different bespoke stages and the line up includes Andy C, Gorgon City, Carl Cox, Pendulum and like, 222 ish others. Find the full line up here
Gala May 27th Peckham†Rye Park, SE15 3UA Tickets from £27.50 (inc the booking fee) Grab yourself a ticket for this years Gala festival taking place late bank holiday May at Peckham Rye Park. This year’s music line up is still waiting in the wings for release but the food and drink has been announced… It†looks FAF and it’s worth going just to sample it. Check out the choice here.
Underbelly Festival South Bank From 6th April to 30th September Fo Free. The 10th Year of Underbelly at Southbank is set to be a ball, featuring comedy, circus acts plus family friendly frollocks, what’s not to love? The tickets are free, £0, nadda, they cost nothing to get in but if you do fancy seeing some arty shit you will have to cough up the dollar. Head down to South Bank to wish Underbelly a Happy Fucking Birthday.
Field Day June 2 Brockwell Park, SE24 9BJ Tickets from £45.45 Previously held in Victoria Park, Brockwell Park now hosts Field Day for 2018. Artists such as Erykah Badu, Children of Zeus, Daniel Avery and Charlotte Gainsbourg have been confirmed to make an appearance. As well as music, Field Day are offering the chance for entrants to compete in team events so if you fancy reminiscing back to your primary school sports day, head to the Village where you can take part in such activities. Community July 1 Finsbury Park, N4 Tickets from £40 Community Festival showcases the likes of Two Door Cinema Club, You Me at Six, The Vaccines, Cira Waves and Bad Sounds. Lovebox haven’t even announced their line up yet and it’s virtually sold out. †The first wave of talent will be announced on Tuesday 13th February but if you want in, get yourself a VIP ticket.
Citadel July 15 Gunnersbury Park Tickets on sale from 12th Feb. After setting up in 2015 to banish the Sunday Blues, Citadel has returned this year for it’s third birthday. Tame Impala have been announced to headline this year, with more artists to be announced in the coming weeks.
London Pride 7th July The Pride Parade is heading through London on the 7th July this year. If you want to be part of it, you can apply to do so here. Tickets from £55 Apparently 50% of tickets have sold, this will be good news, or bad news, depending on if you’re a ‘half full’ or ‘half empty’ kinda gal. This years line up includes Marshmellow, Dizzee, Example and DJ Wire and is taking place over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
