Autumn is finally here ladies and we all know what that means…. Netflix and chill?
But what to watch? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered, here’s a list of our top tv shows and series you NEED to binge-watch for Autumn 2018.
“Fuck! I fancy an assassin” … this is basically what you’ll be saying after episode 3, trrruuust us.Based on Luke Jennings novel Codename Villanelle, Killing Eve stars Jodie Comer (our recent WCW on instagram) who plays an extremely captivating yet weirdly funny bi-sexual assassin, and Sandra Oh who plays Eve, an MI5 officer who’s trying to track her down. The series shows an interesting cat and mouse chase between them as they slowly get obsessed with each other (literally). You can find out when its next on by checking out ukairdates.com or head straight to BBC catch up for this one – it’s a must.
This is possibly the best drama on TV … ever. That’s right, we said it…. EVER. It has you on the edge of your seat from the get-go. It’s a six-part contemporary thriller and is stacked full of action, love, lust and jaw-dropping twists. The show follows David Budd (played by Game of Thrones star Richard Madden) who’s placed with the job of protecting Julie Montague theHome Secretary. Get this on BBC Catch up too.
Friends (Old School)
Could we really write this and not tell you to binge-watch Friends. A hangover classic and currently available on Netflix. Based on a group of friends who go to the local coffee house in Central Park (lol, as if we need to explain what it’s about – if you don’t know what Friends is then you’re too young to be reading Nonchalant London… come back when you grown boo). Start from the beginning – you’ll thank us for it.
Power is all about an American drug lord called Ghost and his right-hand man Tommy. If you’re into your gangsta drug crime dramas then this is 100% for you. Full of violence, sex and 50 cent songs – what more could you want to satisfy your inner lad. By the end of episode 5 of season 1, you’ll want to be Ghost – well we did anyway?- currently available to watch on Netflix.
This one is a comforting ‘nice to have’ series in your life. It has it’s a fair share of twists yet is funny and heartwarming at the same time. It starts with three (basic bitch) cookie-cutter suburban Detroit women robbing a grocery store as they find themselves in desperate need of money for multiple reasons. You follow the ins and outs of their now very complicated crime-ridden lives.
Check them out and as always let us know what you think.
