SOAK: A New Queer Day Rave Launches in East London

The queer music scene is about to get a taste of something a little different and we are here for it. On March 8th Hungarian-born DJ and producer BEKEFI launches SOAK, a new label and event series dedicated to a meaningful musical experience and a good time. Its debut day rave in East London strips things back to pure energy—no cameras, no distractions, just music and dancing.

The Vision Behind SOAK

SOAK is an invitation to step outside of convention. A play on the word ‘KAOS’ embodies freedom, experimentation, and a refusal to conform to any rigid commercial structures in dance music. As both a label and an event, SOAK is about immersion—music that is felt rather than simply heard. BEKEFI draws from house, acid, techno and breaks to craft an experience built for connection, spontaneity, and physicality.

The label’s upcoming releases will carry this same ethos, pushing boundaries with sound experimentation whilst focusing on authenticity. Each release will feature three versions of the same track, offering listeners the freedom to experience the music in different contexts—representing a deliberate choice to step away from the traditional expectations of dance floor music.
