Top New Year’s Eve UK lesbian events 2023

New Year’s Eve is one of the biggest nights of the year. Looking for the best lesbian events to cheer in 2024? We’ve got you covered. Historically, we’ve been starved for lesbian bars, clubs and events to call our own. While there still aren’t as many as we’d like (!)…we’re thrilled to see more spaces and events popping up for queers and lesbians.

Here are the best lesbian events for you and your gang this NYE.

Also, let’s be each other’s social secretaries – any lesbian NYE events you hear of, please add them to the comments. See you on the dancefloor.

Butch, Please!

The Clapham Grand Saint Johns Hill, London, SW11 1TT

A top pick for a New Year’s Eve lesbian event is Butch, Please! at the Clapham Grand. This unique nightlife experience celebrates butches and butch culture in an absolutely iconic London venue.

Launched as a passion project to address a lack of representation in the lesbian community (read our exclusive interview with the founder of Butch, Please!), the night has grown to be a staple in the London LGBTQ+ scene.

Butch, Please! embraces individuality, fosters community and champions inclusion. Butches, femmes, non-binary and transgender individuals are welcomed.

This New Year’s Eve, Butch, Please! promises to be the biggest New Year’s Eve party for lesbian, trans and non-binary people in the UK.

New Year, New Butch.

On NYE, Mint is taking over two floors of The Broadcaster at Television Centre, White City.

The glitzy night will have you entering 2024 in full party spirit. With two dance floors, three cocktail bars, a heated terrace with views over London and lots of fabulous queer ladies, it sounds good to us.

Vanilla Bar Manchester

39-41 Richmond St, Manchester M1 3WB

Canal Street and the Gay Village in Manchester is said to be the UK’s LGBTQ+ centre, outside of London.

Queens Court

167 Lower Briggate, Leeds LS1 6LY

Leeds has a strong queer nightlife culture. The Calls area has many LQBTQ+ bars. Fibre is a late-night bar with quality DJs but more of a queer-cis mixed crowd.

Viaduct has drag artists and tribute acts. The Bridge LS1, replaced the legendary gay venue of the same name (which was forced into closure after 35 years), but the new venue remains an LGBTQ+ friendly bar.

For lesbians, Queens Court is the pick of the bunch.
