We are now less than a month away from the biggest event on the England women’s sporting calendar this year.

Heads up: Some of our articles are sponsored and/or may contain sponsored links, meaning we get a commission if you decide to make a purchase through the links, at no cost to you. This is how we keep the Nonchalant magic alive. We only work with brands we truly love.

Whether you like football, women in shorts, or just want that cup to come home more than your ex-girlfriend, we are all buzzing for next month’s Women’s World Cup. England’s chances have never been higher. Despite the loss of our queen Leah Williamson, the recently announced squad looks as spicy and rich in talent as we hoped. Our belief remains as strong as ever, ‘In Sarina we trust’.

This year’s tournament plays out in Australia and New Zealand, meaning we may need to swap pints for a cuppa at times. But our mates at Baller FC have found the perfect solution to turn this time zone dilemma into a vortex of football fiestas.

Rachel, one of the founders, brought football watch parties to London after her experience at the epic 2019 World Cup in France. People from all walks came together to celebrate women’s football regardless of nations, and party long after the games were over.

She knew it needed to come back to the UK and Baller FC was born.

Their mission was clear: create a safe, inclusive place where all teams could watch women’s football, dance, exchange memes and numbers. All whilst following one rule to the letter: ‘Don’t be a jerk’

Their viewing parties are legendary. They kicked off with the madness of England’s Euro victory, (some of the Ballers are still celebrating) then this season upped the ante and hosted Sunday WSL games alongside the Champions League. These gals know how to do football and we’ve never left them without a smile on our faces, no matter the score.

For the World Cup this year, these legends have teamed up with Signature Brew to bring the World Cup to East London with free inclusive viewing parties throughout the tournament.

During the week, ‘Work from Baller’ will show selected matches as well as have plenty of space to bring laptops to send off those urgent emails like the boss bitches that you are. For the weekend festivities we have double header matches followed by parties/hangouts and of course a football flying around at all times for the sporty lezzas to impress. All this against the backdrop of artists and queer creatives on the decks… what more could we ask for? A calendar for my phone you say?

Well… Our friends at Studs have outdone themselves with this year ‘s World Cup calendar download for easy access to the games. Studs have created a platform to fill the content gap in women’s football since 2019. They are a perfect showcase of fun, powerful and queer stories in women’s football, so be sure to check them out.

So for all information of fixtures and the upcoming plans please head on over to @ballerfc_ldn for more info. They have also just launched their WC merch (swoon) so be sure to check that out on their website.

If you need a little reminder or who we will be looking out for, check out our starter pack/stalker list for openly lesbian UK and US stars soon to be on our teles on the regs.

Get your bucket hats out Squad, it’s nearly time. We look forward to seeing you all there.

Enjoy the games wherever you watch them (we recommend with Baller FC though, obvs)
