Top 5 True Crime Podcasts

If like some of us, you don’t have time to sit down and read a book or you get sick on the bus/train (not a good look with the Coronavirus on everyone’s mind), then you’ve definitely resorted to either audiobooks or a good podcast.

Heads up: Some of our articles are sponsored and/or may contain sponsored links, meaning we get a commission if you decide to make a purchase through the links, at no cost to you. This is how we keep the Nonchalant magic alive. We only work with brands we truly love.

So pop your headphones on and get ready to be slightly creeped out by our current top five fave true crime podcasts our ears can’t get enough of.

My Favorite Murder

Yes, if you are British you will have realised that we have spelt ‘favourite’ incorrectly. But this is a podcast bought to us by Americans, so chill.

Karen Kilgariff (comedian) and Georgia Hardstarck (tv personality) tell each other their favourite stories of murder, as well as people’s hometown stories. All with a pinch of comedy to get you through the gruesomest bits!

All Killa No Filla

British comedians Rachel Fairburn and Kiri Pritchard-McLean share and discuss their passion for serial killers coz, let’s be honest who isn’t secretly obsessed? We also get insight into their daily lives and some general chat which certainly brightens up the creepy subjects.

48 Hours

American podcast led by the team at CBS News. They take you through current and closed cases with interviews ranging from the police departments, to witnesses, to even the survivors!

Man In The Window

If creepy is your cup of tea then you should definitely listen to this podcast! Read by Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter Paige St. John, the podcast reveals details about the man who went on to become one of the deadliest serial killers in California – The Golden State Killer.

Serial

This is one of the most famous True Crime podcasts out there and if you haven’t already listened to it, who even are you? Hosted by Sarah Koening, Serial follows three different cases with three very interesting stories. A soldier who abandons his post in Afghanistan, the murder of a high school girl (with a twist), and the ins and outs of the Cleveland criminal justice system – no spoilers!

We hope you enjoy these podcasts and if you have any good suggestions then do send them over on info@www.nonchalantmagazine.com – we can’t wait to listen to them!
